BIS §232 Investigation Initiated, Imports of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Parts

On July 1, 2025, the Secretary of Commerce initiated a §232 national security investigation into imports of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and their parts and components. BIS is soliciting public comments, data, and analyses through August 6, 2025. The investigation could lead to tariffs or other import restrictions on UAS and related parts.
