These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Traverse (“Traverse”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of the Traverse website, tracker, briefings, alerts, tariff tools, workflows, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.
Traverse aggregates publicly available U.S. trade policy signals (including executive orders, Congressional activity, court decisions, and agency actions) and uses automated systems, including large language models, to classify, connect, and summarize them. The Service is informational. It is not legal, investment, tax, or trade-compliance advice, and it should not be relied on as the sole or primary basis for any business, legal, regulatory, investment, or compliance decision. You are solely responsible for independently verifying information against primary sources before acting on it.
Current availability. Traverse offers public Free surfaces, account-based saved scope workflows, and Analyst review subscriptions under the Analyst plan. Some high-volume features may continue to expand through staged rollout. The account, subscription, and Analyst-plan sections below (§3 and §4) apply when a user creates an account or purchases a plan.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, expose the Service to risk, or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently, abusively, or without authorization. You may not share account access, transfer your account to another person, or attempt to obtain access to accounts that do not belong to you.
The Service is offered under the Free and Analyst plans described on ourPlanspage. The Analyst plan provides subscription access for recurring review processing, tariff recalculation, memo/checklist workflow, and source-backed exports. Applicable fees, renewal terms, cancellation rules, and billing schedule are presented before payment is accepted. You can manage billing through the account billing portal where available.
During the current launch, Analyst is $29.00 USD per month or $290.00 USD per year, with a 14-day trial for eligible first-time trial users. Trials are limited to one per user or email address. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the selected subscription renews automatically at the price and interval shown during checkout. You can cancel through the billing portal; cancellation stops future renewal but does not erase prior account or billing records we must retain for fraud prevention, accounting, and legal compliance.
You agree not to:
The Service, including its design, code, graph structure, classifications, and editorial analysis, is owned by Traverse and protected by US and international intellectual-property laws. Underlying source documents remain the property of their respective publishers (for example, the Federal Register, Congress.gov, and the federal judiciary). Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal business or personal research use. No right, title, or interest in the Service or its underlying intellectual property is transferred to you except for this limited license.
If you submit feedback, comments, suggestions, or other content through the Service, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content to operate, improve, secure, and support the Service. You represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not violate any law, contractual restriction, or third-party right.
Portions of the Service, including relation extraction and summaries, are produced by automated language-model pipelines. Output may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or unsupported inferences. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness of automated output for any particular purpose and disclaim liability for decisions made in reliance on it.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT, OUTPUT, ALERT, OR CLASSIFICATION WILL BE COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR SUFFICIENT FOR YOUR USE CASE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRAVERSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO TRAVERSE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100).
You agree to indemnify and hold Traverse harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right. We may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you will cooperate with us in that defense.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, create legal or security risk for us or others, fail to pay applicable fees, or where we are legally required to do so. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections 6, 9, 10, 11, and 14.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued access to or use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
