CBP Updates ACE Entry Summary Reporting Order for Chapter 98 and 99 Classifications
CBP issued updated guidance on the order in which multiple HTSUS classifications must be reported on a single entry summary line when a Chapter 98 or Chapter 99 provision applies. The required sequence is the Chapter 98 provision first, then Chapter 99 provisions for additional duties, then trade remedy Chapter 99 provisions in the order §301, Section 338, §232, Section 201 duties and Section 201 quota, followed by replacement duty or other use provisions, other quota provisions, and finally the Chapter 1 to 97 classification. The update folds the new Section 338 duties on certain goods of Canada (CSMS 69606660) into the trade remedy stacking order. Entered value remains reported on the Chapter 1 to 97 line unless a Chapter 98 provision requires otherwise.
