CBP Launches NCAP Pipeline Test for Canadian & Mexican Crude Oil Entry Data

CBP will pilot a new ACE-based data collection method for pipeline-imported crude oil, using unique entity identifiers and tamper-proof credentials to track Canadian and Mexican crude movements, including ownership changes, in near real time. The Pipeline Global Interoperability Standards Test aims to modernize import documentation and compliance verification for energy commodities entering the U.S. via pipeline.
