The U.S. Department of Commerce has opened a country-wide circumvention inquiry (Case A-201-859) to determine whether Mexican mattress components assembled into finished mattresses in the United States are evading the existing antidumping duty order on mattresses from Mexico. The inquiry was triggered by a coalition of domestic producers and labor unions including Brooklyn Bedding, Tempur Sealy, and the Teamsters.
