The House committee ordered HR 8169, the Export Control Enforcement and Enhancement Act, to be reported in the nature of a substitute by a unanimous vote of 44-0. The bill aims to strengthen enforcement and enhance the existing export control regime governing US exports of goods, technology, and services. If enacted, it would expand the legislative framework underpinning the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
