Softwood Lumber V, ITC Injury Finding Upholds AD/CVD Duties on Canadian Imports
The ITC determined on December 7, 2017, that Canadian softwood lumber imports caused material injury to U.S. producers, enabling ITA's AD/CVD duties (subsidy margins 3.34%-18.19%, dumping margins 3.20%-8.89%) to take effect. Canada challenges the determinations at WTO and NAFTA tribunals, marking the fifth major lumber dispute since the 1980s.
