COVID-19 Disrupts U.S. Seafood Supply Chains, Congress Considers Relief

The pandemic reduced food-service demand (two-thirds of seafood consumption) and disrupted domestic and international supply chains, lowering seafood trade. Congress authorized $300M CARES Act fishery assistance and debated additional support through HEROES Act, S.4320, and fishery disaster amendments.
