On April 10, 2026, the Department of State certified to Congress that wild-caught shrimp from 36 nations and Hong Kong, plus specific fisheries in Australia, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and Spain, are eligible to enter the U.S. under sea turtle protection standards. All non-listed nations may only export aquaculture shrimp to the U.S., and all shipments must be accompanied by a DS-2031 declaration.
