MARAD Solicits Comments on Jones Act Waiver Request for Foreign-Built Vessel M/V NIT WITS

MARAD has received a request to authorize the foreign-built small passenger vessel M/V NIT WITS for use in U.S. coastwise trade under 46 U.S.C. § 55103. The agency is soliciting public comments to assess whether granting the waiver would adversely affect U.S. vessel builders or coastwise trade operators using U.S.-built vessels.
