Presidential Notice, Annual Continuation of Trading With the Enemy Act Authorities

The President has issued the annual notice required by 50 U.S.C. 4305(b) continuing the exercise of authorities under the Trading With the Enemy Act (TWEA). This notice preserves existing TWEA-based economic restrictions, including the Cuba embargo and related controls, which would lapse without annual renewal. The notice was published in the Federal Register on August 25, 2026.
