The U.S. International Trade Commission has instituted preliminary phase antidumping and countervailing duty injury investigations (Nos. 701-TA-792 and 731-TA-1786-1788) covering tin mill products from China, Taiwan, and Turkey, pursuant to the Tariff Act of 1930. The products, primarily tin-coated flat-rolled steel used in food and beverage packaging, are alleged to be sold at less than fair value and, in the case of China, to be subsidized. The Commission must reach a preliminary injury determination by May 26, 2026.
