USTR Invokes USMCA RRM Against Newmont Peñasquito, Liquidation of Entries Suspended

USTR has triggered the USMCA Rapid Response Labor Mechanism to review alleged denial of freedom of association and collective bargaining rights at Newmont's Minera Peñasquito facility in Zacatecas, Mexico. As an immediate trade measure, the United States has suspended liquidation of unliquidated entries of goods - including gold, silver, lead, and zinc - produced at the facility.
