Trump Moves to Terminate Rwanda and South Africa from AGOA, Effective Jan 1, 2027

President Trump has notified Congress and the governments of Rwanda and South Africa of his intent to remove both countries from the African Growth and Opportunity Act trade preference program as of January 1, 2027. Ambassador Greer issued a formal statement confirming the move on November 2, 2026.
