Public Hearings on Proposed Responsive Action in the Section 301 Investigations Relating to Failures to Take Action on Trade in Forced Labor Goods

USTR has proposed additional Section 301 tariffs on all products from 60 economies that it has determined fail to prohibit or effectively enforce bans on forced-labor goods. Importers sourcing from any of those 60 economies face potential across-the-board duty increases of 10 or 12.5 percent depending on the economy's forced-labor enforcement posture.

The proposed tariffs cover all products from 60 unnamed economies. The duty rate is 10 percent for economies with partial or reciprocal-trade-agreement-based regimes and 12.5 percent for all other covered economies.
